Where I Will Be...

So this is where I will be for the rest of the Summer! I went swimming, or floating if you will, for the first time this year. It was Heaven on Earth! I could lay on my tummy on the float and I felt all of the back pain just float right away. It was amazing. So every day during naptime I have a date with this pool! I know God knew just what he was doing when we prayed about buying this house. He knew I would be enormous and hot this summer and would NEED this pool!

We are letting Griffin dress himself more and more. Tonight's outfit was: a pj top, basketball shorts, boots, and a frog bib.

And yes, we took him to dinner like this. :)

Work/Fun Filled Weekend!

We are getting very spoiled having Jordan home on Saturday mornings! Too bad it will all come to an end again beginning the first of July. On Saturday we went to: Home Depot, Walmart, Mom's house, fishing, the park, and the post office all before 11am! It was wonderful. It left us the whole afternoon and evening to relax and get caught up on our DVR shows. Today is church, some homework for Jo, and lots of yard work. We know we want to sell our house in the next two years so we are working hard to get the yard and house looking great! Here are some pictures from our morning park time.

We hope you all had just as good of a weekend as we did! Summer is upon us and we are so excited! The pool temps are creeping up so hopefully before long we can spend our afternoons in the pool and sun! I need the temp to be at least 87-90 in the water before I will get in and it's been hovering around 85. :)

I love this bedroom! Although I don't think I would give Jordan a chair on his side of the bed. I could see it now. Draped and covered with dress clothes and other items...no thanks! I adore this wall color and the AMAZING light fixture above this bed. It's perfect and peaceful. Peaceful is a must with a 2 year old running around crazy all day!

27 week checkup

This is more for me to remember than anything else!

Today at my doctors appointment I was tested for anemia and glucose. We should get those results tomorrow. I also am having some further tests done due to white blood cells and blood in my urine. Hopefully all is well! Baby Gracie had a great strong heartbeat and my blood pressure was 100/60. I have now gained 8 lbs - 5 of which I gained this month! My tummy is measuring 29 weeks and she is still hanging out low and breech! My heartburn is OOC (out of control) and am trying maalox at the dr's suggestion to see if that works better. I am now starting on my every two week appointments which means that she will be here before we know it!! No stretch marks, weird body problems, or anything else like that and my belly button is getting shallow but still an "innie." YEA!

This weekend we attended a lovely reception for the newest (and really only) DOCTOR in our group of friends!! JC is just about the smartest person we know and we are so excited for him and sweet Dabney to start their new lives together!!! It was a great party and everything was amazing...as it should be, because it's not every day you graduate from medical school!

The twins came in and brought Paisley to dinner and she was SO ADORABLE! Jordan and I got some good practice for holding girl babies! We were so sad not to see Berkley but hopefully will be seeing the twins again next month so we can squeeze her. We also got caught up with many old friends from college and hopefully will continue to keep in contact with some of them in the near future. :)

We finally got the downstairs cleaned and Griffin's room finished. I still need a few things for the walls and some various decor items but for the most part it's done. Now I just need to organize our loft, and switch the beds in the guest bedrooms and we will be ready to paint!! I have my glucose test tomorrow and my 27 week checkup so hopefully everything will go great!

Happy 1 Year!

Happy 1 Year Anniversary of living in our house!! We can't believe a year has already past since we moved in. We love it here and plan on living here around 2 more years. Then when Jordan finishes at SMU...Who knows?? So bring it on Summer of 2012! :)

To celebrate I planted these pretty purple periwinkles all around the yard. Granny saw them at a nursery and bought them for me! I LOVE THEM! And momma bought me the moss roses on either side for mothers day! Nothing makes me happier than a bright and cheery flower bed. Now if we could just get our grass to grow we would be great. But that is FAR down on the list of expenses....Maybe when we win the lotto...ha ha ha.
