Well, to say this wasn't the Easter weekend I had planned would be a HUGE understatement. After Gracie was sick with her ear infections on Wednesday we thought she would be on the upswing. However Thursday night at around 11pm we heard over the monitor what almost sounded like snoring. We checked her every 30minutes to an hour overnight and I called the doctors office to get her in first thing Friday morning. In this cute cute video of Griffin telling me all the things he loves you can hear Gracie's scary breathing in the background.
So, off to the dr we went Friday morning and she got her first breathing treatment. The doctor diagnosed her with croup and said she had what was called a stridor. You can click the words to find out all about it. The problem with Gracie's stridor was that it was happening while she was calm and at rest which made it very dangerous.

After this breathing treatment they also gave her an oral steroid and sent us back home to nap and re-evaluate in the next couple of hours. Well, 3 hours later and she was still bad, so we went back for another treatment. The rule of thumb on these treatments is if you have 2 in the same day then you have to be evaluated by medical professionals. I drove her as fast as I could to Children's Medical Center in Frisco to get her looked at before the dr. left at 5:00pm.
My mom was AWESOME and dropped everything to stay at my house with Griffin while I took Grace to her multiple appointments and then packed his bag and took him to her house to spend the next 18 or so hours that we were admitted to the hospital. Jordan's parents came and sat with us in the room for awhile and rocked Miss Gracie. It's SUCH a blessing to have parents that live close by. I am not sure I could survive without them! :)

We just totally skipped Easter church and celebrating and rescheduled it to this Sunday. So you can anticipate some pretty cute pictures coming up of the prettiest Easter clothes you can imagine! And we are bound to get some great shots since our personal photographer is coming to visit for the weekend! Yay! Yay!
