This cute Mudpie outfit was given to me at my shower by sister Kelsey! I have tried it on her 1,000 times and today it finally fit!! We love it and thank you!!

6 Month Check up

I took our little sweetie to her six month appointment this morning. You might remember I thought she weight around 16.5 lbs. Well I was close....She weighs 17.1lbs and is 25 inches long. This puts her a full 3ish pounds ahead of her brother at this age. :) She is healthy. She got a great report and besides a few little followups she is cleared until her 9 month check. Since she is still breastfed we are starting her on iron and continuing with her vitamin D drops. I will keep her on her zantac 3 more months as well and hope to discontinue that at 9 months. After her shots she cried just a little bit and is currently doing great sitting and playing with me in the floor.

All in all she is doing fantastic!

Booked

We are officially booked!! In July, Jordan and I are spending a week at the Excellence Punta Cana resort. We will be celebrating our FIFTH! anniversary in style! :)

It's an all inclusive resort so I expect us to be lounging, eating, and relaxing our days away. I am totally not a - walk a thousand miles and see tons of sights - kind of girl so I imagine this will be just my speed! And a huge thanks to the parents and grandparents that are coordinating babysitting for a week so we can be kid free!

Six Months!

How in the world are you SIX months old?? I knew time passed by quickly with Griffin but this has been insane. We feel like just yesterday we brought you home and you stole all of our hearts! Your doctors appointment isn't until Wednesday so I am not certain how much you weigh, although when I plopped you on our scale it said 16.4 lbs. Which is really funny to me because that is exactly double your birthweight (8.2lbs) and that is what doctors recommend you weigh at 6 months. So if that's even close - way to go! You are getting more and more personality every day as seen by the pictures and we can't think of a single thing to complain about! We are so blessed. You eat amazing - we are up to 3 meals a day now and this month I will start adding in snacks. You still drink milk 4 times a day and are up to around 30 ounces total. You have liked all of your fruits and veggies and you love your fruit and oatmeal. You are still working on sitting and can do so for little bits at a time. You have begun to play in your exersaucer and love standing and putting weight on your legs. You take 2 naps a day. Your morning one lasts around an hour and your afternoon nap is usually about two. You sleep a full 12-13 hours every night. You are an AMAZING sleeper. You LOVE your paci and still never really cry but will whine a bit if your paci falls out and you want it back. You have taken to sleeping on your face which scares me a little but you seem to like it so I usually flip you over a few times and then stop fighting you.

We love you little girl and you make all of our lives brighter!

Gracie is a fabulous eater and Griffin has gotten SO much better! It may take him 30 minutes and he can't really sit still and eat, but as long as it gets in his tummy I am happy. :)

Super Bowl Sunday

Jordan and I started the weekend by having a lovely date night. Momma was nice enough to babysit the kiddos for us, and Jordan took me to MiCocina and then to Studio Movie Grill. We saw, No Strings Attached--SUPER cute. It made both of us laugh out loud a ton of times and we really liked it. We also shared some strawberry lemonade and a brownie with ice cream. Yummy and a very nice night.

Then we started off this Super Bowl Sunday with church. Griffin was already gone to Bible class but we thought Gracie looked cute so we took a few pictures with our almost SIX month old baby girl.

And this is how our night ended. I made pepper jack and chicken queso and we all watched the Super Bowl together. I love my two snuggly kiddos.

Griffin is doing EXCELLENT with potty training. He has had only one accident a day for the past week and almost always stops himself and goes straight to the potty during the accident. So I think that's great. His teachers were amazed at how well he did during school and we are so proud of our BIG boy.

Aren't these underwear and undershirt sets the cutest?!? They were a sweet Christmas gift from Ninnie Gari and Opa.

We really don't care who wins the big game but we are excited for a new Glee. Woo hoo!! We have more snow/sleet in the forecast this week...Yuck! I have never cooked and stayed inside so much in my life. I hope it passes us by. :)

Cabin Fever

We officially have cabin fever!! We have been stuck indoors since Monday night when it started sleeting. We did finally venture out yesterday afternoon and the roads around our house were awful. Thankfully, Jordan's school and work as well as Griffin's school were cancelled Tuesday and Wednesday. And although Jordan had to go to work today his class is cancelled for this evening so he will be home soon. Luckily we were not one of the "lucky" ones that had to endure the rolling blackout. So we have been enjoying each others company warm and snug in our house.

Look who finally took an interest in his sister!! For 6 months now, we have been trying to get Griffin to feed her. And then yesterday out of the blue he was sitting next to me while I was feeding her and he said, "I will feed her a little bit?" and I jumped on it. So here is the first picture of Griffin feeding Gracie!

Hope you are staying warm! All of our weekend plans have been cancelled so we are going to try to catch a dinner and movie date on Saturday if the weather holds up. Any great movie suggestions?
