Five Months

Happy FIVE months Gracelynn Gayle! You are getting to be such a big girl right before our eyes! You don't have a doctor's appointment this month so I am not sure how big you are but you are fitting into your 6 month clothes. All of your 3 months are put away even though some of your 6 months are too big. You eat 5 times a day and take 2 scheduled naps at 10 and 1 (or 2 on M/W.) I let you cat nap for the third nap and you usually take it right around 8AM. You of course still sleep through the night going to bed somewhere around 7-8 every night. I am not really on a "Schedule" with you like I was with Griffin. You are so easy going and just go with the flow! You wake up between 7 and 730 and are happy and smiley when we get you from your crib. We sometimes feed you cereal or bananas at night time but not regularly yet. We will start food "for real" next month. Right now we are just practicing. Your biggest trick you learned this month is sitting up. You can balance for a little bit at a time and lean waaaaay forward in your tripod position. You love to be sitting up and watch and take in everything around you. When you are laying down on your back you lift your head up and try with all your might to sit up. You aren't even close to that yet but you give us big smiles when we help you and put you in the sitting position. You make lots of sounds and talk to us all the time. Your favorites are the "ahhs" "ooohs" and "mmms". You are still suffering from reflux and this month we started you on zantac twice a day. It seems to be helping a tiny bit. You drool ALLLLLL the time and we can feel a tooth on the bottom. It should be breaking through any day now. You can reach for and hold all of your toys and pass them from one hand to the other. You "fuss" at your Sophie the giraffe Uncle Les bought your for Christmas, and talk to her whenever you see her. I think she is your favorite toy. You can roll both ways and laugh up a storm when we tickle your neck or armpits. Happy 5 months little girl!! We love you! :)
