Life...

Oh, poor neglected blog. There is no way possible to go back and fill in the gaps, so I will just commit to blogging more responsibly from here on out. The main purpose of this blog is to keep family and friends up to date on life, and with the way our life is headed, it will be needed more than ever.

So lets recap.

-September 2012: Sweet hubby got a much deserved and awesome promotion that he had been interviewing for since July. The company told us that he would be starting in Atlanta, GA in 30! days. We quickly list our house for sale and start preparing. By mid-September they had changed their minds. He would be doing 3 month training rotations in Arlington, VA and Newark, NJ. We would then start in Atlanta on April 1.

-October - December: Jordan lives in Arlington and we stay here. The house is for sale and we have 60+ showings. The kids continue with school, baseball, start gymnastics, and are generally just amazing kids. We go visit Washington, DC in November and have a lovely time. Jo continues to come home every other weekend, and we just make life work. Thanksgiving and Christmas were fab and by December I start getting super nervous our house will never sell. Mid December we have an offer that falls through. Blah. Then sitting in Prestonwood Baptist's candelight Christmas Eve service we get an email that another offer would be coming our way. On 12/27 we accepted it and started to decide what to do with our stuff.

-January 2013: Jordan moves to Jersey City, NJ, continues to come home every other weekend and we make plans with movers and storage centers galore. On 1/22 our house closes and the kids and I move in with my mom. Who by the way is a lifesaver who let us completely take over her life and
house.  We have movers come and pack the old house, load it into PODS, and then take it to storage.

-February:  Jordan's company decides to send him to Chicago for the month of April, delaying our plans of Atlanta for another month. We make the decision to pull the kids out of school early and live in a high rise, in the middle of downtown Chicago, for the month. I turn 31, Jordan buys me a new car, we feast on cake and Mexican food galore, and everyone is healthy and happy.

-March brings a trip to NYC, spring break, saying goodbye to friends, and our baby boy turning 5!  Also, we will take a trip to Atlanta to hopefully decide on a house. House looking is way hard from 4 states away y'all.

I expect exactly no one to have read all that but I want to remember it for sure. :)

Next up, my 31st birthday in pictures!! Hip hip hooray.
