Six weeks

Summer Cuties

We are soaking up every bit of the end of Summer around here.

Yesterday, after a long session of practicing on writing his letters I decided he deserved a treat. And, as a boy after my own heart he picked Sno Cones!! Woo hoo!

Gracie also enjoyed a few bites of mine. In fact she enjoyed it sooo much that she screamed her face off when I decided she had enough. Everything in moderation my dear!
I also added this pretty to my decor yesterday. If you know me in real life then you know of my obsession with Sonic. My drink of choice (and for the last 6 years) has been a Vanilla Cream Coke. And I saved the best for last. My FABULOUS Granny has outdone herself again!! Is this not the prettiest cornice board you have ever seen?? I am obsessed with it and think it makes the family room look so much more put together. Now, all that's missing is a new TV cabinet. And I am working on that! :) Can yall believe she made this?? And even more unbelievable she installed it herself. She is AMAZING.
I am off to shop the Dillards 40% of clearance sale today. Last time I was able to get Jordan's $65 polo shirts for $11. Hoping I find more deals like this!!

So productive

I want to remember how productive I was today so I can refer back to this on my lazier days. For inspiration you know?

This morning I : washed and put away 5 loads of laundry, picked up the kids rooms and made the beds, picked up gracies invitations, bought envelopes and stamps, and mailed them out, finalized the cake with the baker, dropped off then picked up paperwork at the dr for griffins school, mailed off his tuition and paperwork, then took him to swimming. Then this afternoon I took and picked up dry cleaning, vacuumed, swept, and mopped, dusted, and now I am laying in bed watching handy manny with griff before bed. Whew! That was a full day for me! None of which would be possible without my sweet hubby. He gets to work from home every Monday. Which allows me to get a lot of extras done. He's the best and I am so lucky to have him!!

I scheduled Gracie's 1 year appointment today. I am in shock it's coming up sooo soon! She is such a big girl!

Gracie's Big Girl Room

I literally SQUEALED with excitement when I opened my PBK catalog and saw this room. It is exactly what I want for Gracie girl next year. I am hoping by that time it will all be on huge sale and I can scoop it up! LOVE IT!

Lately

We have just been playing, swimming, trying to walk, staying cool, and grilling out. We love summertime.

Karate

I also participated in a survey from mrs Meyers cleaning products and as a thank you they sent me all these goodies!

Dog Days

It is soooo hot here. So hot that we go to the park every morning at 730 just so we can be outside at all. Yesterday we tried walking the .5 mile each way to the park from our house but getting drenched in sweat so early in the morning is not really my thing. So we will stick to driving there for the remainder of the summer. We really haven't been up to much around here. Just getting things ordered and made for the birthday party and for the upcoming school year. Griff will be going 3 days a week this year. We have meet the teacher soon and then before you know it school will be here. We are throwing the idea around of letting him start soccer this fall. I am leaning more towards Spring soccer though, as I think school will be a big enough undertaking right at first. I almost forgot to tell yall -- GUESS WHO IS FINALLY 100% POTTY TRAINED??!?!?! That's right, at 3 years, 4 months old - 1.5 years after we started we have been accident free for almost 2 weeks. HIP HIP HOORAY!!!!!

11 Months...

What a big month you have had Gracie Gayle! You have grown and changed so much and we are in sheer disbelief that your 1st birthday party is in 4 short weeks! At 11 months you:

-have 9.5 teeth

-Weigh 23 lbs

-Wear 18 month clothes

-Wear size 4 shoes

-Cruise everywhere. All along the couches, chairs, and your bed

-Have begun standing alone for a few seconds at a time.

-Love to swim

-Are into EVERYTHING!!!

-Still take 2 naps a day and sleep 11-12 hours a night

-Are the most easy going and laid back baby.

-The nursery workers say you are a very "social" baby.

-Say: ma-ma, da-da, ba-ba, hi, bye, and lots of other noises

-Your brother is still your favorite person and you love to crawl after him, lunge at him, and climb all over him. And sometimes he lets you!

-You still love your jar food and also like cheese, fruit, shredded chicken, green beans.

-You clap, wave your arms in excitement, play peek-a-boo, and point at things.

We can not believe you have been in our lives for almost a whole year. We love you so much and we can't wait to party hardy next month!!

Broken...

So my laptop is down for the count. I need a new power cord and so until then my blogging will remain at a minimum. We have other computers but they aren't the same and I can never find my pictures. Oh well!!

But I have so much to tell!
