Blooming Flowers

My sweet Granny surprised me with 4 flats of purple periwinkles to plant. They are my favorite. Here are a few pictures of some of my flowers. I love, love, love them! Now I need about 50 lbs of mulch and someone to spread it all out for me!

Cabin Trip...In Pictures

We got back from a long weekend in Colorado last week and are just now in recovery mode. I really want to write a novel about what we saw, ate, and did....but after two nights of a crying baby, lots of vomit, and a quickie trip to the dr. this AM I am worn out! So, I will let the pictures speak for themselves. I must say though - GG is an amazing hostess - we were so well fed and taken care of- Jordan is in awe of all he learned from PP in 4 short days - We loved spending precious time with the Seattle Smith's (we never get enough time with them!) - and Opa and Ninnie were so generous with time, help, flights, renting cars, buying food and treats and much more. My family of four had an amazing time and we cherished and are thankful for every second!

Griffin loved his MDO out class this year. Jordan and I are amazed daily at what he knows and new songs he comes home singing. We are blessed to have such a wonderful school so close to us. We are already counting down the days until September when he starts his new 3 day a week class! And look at how much he grew this year! At least a few inches! He is still our tall-skinny boy! :)

A Boy and his Frog

Well, I suppose I knew this day would come...On Thursday Griffin came home with a frog from Granny Lou Lou's house. He was SO EXCITED about it!! My Granny is the absolute best about things like this. She caught the frog, made it a temporary home in the jar, and then really talked up letting the froggie go with his dad later that night. So that is exactly what we did!

So of course as we are letting the frog go, we take off the lid, and sure enough it jumps right on me! EWW...so sorry there are no pictures of Jo and Griff setting frogman free. I was too busy screaming and running!

Happy Birthdays!!

We celebrated my Grandpa's birthday, my Mom's birthday, my Uncle Chris' birthday, and my Grandma's graduation this weekend at my Grandparent's house. It was so much fun! Their property is beautiful and the weather was perfect. Fun times all around!

Something Near and Dear to my Heart...

Nine Months

Happy Nine Month Birthday Gracie Gayle!

Today you weighed 20.6 lbs and were 28 inches long. You are perfect and healthy and we were so happy to hear that your ear infections are finally cleared! You have 4 teeth on bottom and all 4 on top are cutting through as we type. You are still the best baby in the world and we are so very blessed to have you. You sleep 11-12 hours at night and most of the time take 2 - 1 hr naps. You have started eating bits of cheese, puffs, mashed bananas, and a few other "real" foods this month. You also crawl (although not very well), stand holding our hands or onto something, and can go from laying to sitting all by yourself! We are still practicing with your big girl cup and you are drinking a little more from it every day. You wear 12 or 18 month clothes and a size 3 shoe. You say, mama, dada, baba, and hiiiii. You don't always say them in the right context but nevertheless - you say them! You had your first Easter this month and went to Bible class and the nursery for the first times. We are about to take you on your second plane ride next week and I know you will do awesome! Time is flying baby girl and I have started to think about your big 1st birthday bash! It is just around the corner after all. We love you!!

Mother's Day

This is my first Mother's Day as a mother of 2! And so far my weekend has been lovely. Flowers from my kiddos, many homemade cards (My favs), gifts, and a lunch at my favorite restaurant. What else could I ask for?!? Tomorrow I will celebrate with my sweet momma and my Granny after church.
