An Evening at the Fair!

On Monday evening we decided to go to the Fair. It's no secret that I LOVE the fair. I went every year growing up and it makes me so happy! We knew it would be much different this year with the kiddos but it turned out to be a great time! We ate: sausage on a stick, Fletcher's corny dogs, french fries, and of course a pineapple whip. It was all delicious. We also had fun at the car show and Griffin got to "drive" lots of cars. I also decided I want a minivan. No lie. I never in a million years thought I would say that but they are AMAZING. So many features that a mom of two needs. I don't really know why I have been fighting it. It's so funny, but yes I want a Sienna for my next car! :) The weekday evening was the perfect time to go as it was uncrowded and not too hot.

6 weeks and her first laugh!

Today Gracie is 6 weeks old! And today she checked off a few milestones!

-She laughed for the first time.

-She slept through the night (10-5) for the first time.

-She has officially outgrown some of her newborn size onesies!

Sick Weekend

This has been a weekend I would like to never repeat again! But, having two kids I know we are bound to have many many more sick days. It all started with Jordan. He came down with what we thought at first was allergies and then decided maybe it was a sinus infection. Then came Thursday night. Griffin started coughing a horrible deep cough and had a nose that was just pouring. On Friday he felt hot to me and sure enough had a fever around 101. I took him to the pedi and she diagnosed him with his first ear infection ever! Poor baby. She also gave him a rapid flu test because he had all the flu symptoms and looked "fluish" to her. It came back negative but because we have little sister at home she decided to go ahead and treat him (and us) with Tamiflu as a precaution. So I spent Friday night taking care of Jordan and Griff and keeping Gracie as far away as possible. Then, to make matters WAY worse I woke up in the middle of the night with a horrible case of mastitis. I will spare you all the details but it is probably the most painful sick feeling I have ever had. Thankfully I paged my OB yesterday and she called in an antibiotic. And today I feel about 50% better. And sweet Gracie girl seems to have made it through unharmed.

So, needless to say all plans for this weekend were cancelled and we all layed low and made it through. I am thinking Griffin will be staying home from school tomorrow and then hopefully he will be 100% by Wednesday. We are going to Western Days in our town this weekend and are so excited to see Kevin Fowler, Mickey and the Motorcars, and Cross Canadian! We will feel like we are back in Abilene.

of different things and I have been so pleased with her work and prices! She

is doing Christmas cards this year too so keep her in mind!

Sick and Newborn Photo Shoot

My poor first born has a cold! I guess that is what is going to happen now that he has started school and is around kids and their germs. He started coughing yesterday late afternoon and now has a runny nose and a really yucky sounding cough. He also pointed to his ear and said, "ouchie" but I am not confident that it actually hurts. I guess we will wait it out this weekend and if he's not better by Monday I will take him to the dr.

are playing house and school inside. His imagination

is so sweet.

3 weeks ago our sweet friends Dr. JC and Dabney came to visit. And Dabney brought her camera! I have waited to post these until after Grandparents Day and I sent out my birth announcements. I think it's safe now though! I LOVE EVERY SINGLE ONE!! Dabney is so talented and I am already looking forward to our first family of 4 Christmas card shoot this fall.

One Month Old!

On September 11, 2010 you were One Month old!

Your eyes are still a pretty blue and are much lighter than your brother's were at your age!

Your legs are starting to get chubby! You are a great eater.

I tried to dress you up cute and have a mini photo shoot.

You weren't really feeling it.

Then you got REALLY tired. Taking pictures and being adorable is quite taxing.

I understand sweet girl.

So, mommy gave up and let you sleep.

We have been so blessed by you this month. And we are so excited to watch you grow!
