17 Months!

Happy 17 month birthday Griffin Bryce!

I can not believe that it has been 17 months already! Griffin is doing so much and is so far from the baby that we held on March 27, 2008. He is so independent...wanting to do everything himself. Everything from climbing the stairs, getting his own diaper out to put on, running to the fridge and trying to open it while yelling ba ba! He knows so many animal sounds when you ask him: horse, cow, kitty cat, monkey, sheep, duck.... He LOVES Barney and singing and dancing. He loves to eat cereal, fruits, meat, crackers, bread, and all kinds of cheese. He is still not fond of veggies in whole food form but will "tolerate" them pureed. He is down to one nap a day in the afternoon except for off days...Like today when he wakes up way earlier than normal and then gets tired around 9. He is starting to outgrow his 18 month size clothes so a shopping trip is coming soon to stock up for fall clothes in the next size up. He has 10 teeth and is working on a few more as we speak. We have had a few full out temper tantrums (laying face down on the floor kicking and screaming) but have always recovered quickly. We are loving this stage because he follows directions with ease and really understands exactly what we are saying. He has an amazing vocab of about 25 words. Some are not understandable by anyone but us, but the important part is that he knows what he is saying and so do we! I can't wait until next month! I will have a year and a half year old! Yikes!
