This is my current "wishlist" for the new house.  Maybe one thing a quarter?  Or when it goes on sale?  What do you think Jo?

For the breakfast nook area
Looks like it would be heaven to lay out on!
My dream patio furniture for the pool area.

The only one I might actually buy soon.
Matches my dining room furniture Granny bought me as a gift.
(I need something to put on a very long wall in the dining room.)

Weekend Wrap Up

We had such a fun weekend!  Jordan and I caught up on reading and TV shows Friday night and then when we woke up Saturday we took a long walk with Griffin and Izzie around the neighborhood.  Then Griffin was off to his Granny Gari's and Opa's house to spend the night and see Granny Gayle.  (You'll have to use your imagination because I don't have any pictures.)

Then our friends C&L and Potts came over and we took them to see our new house on the way to ft. worth.  It was nice to see that the sellers had done most of the work we requested since we are now 12 days out from closing!  YEA!!!!!!

The group at Joe T's.

At the Reata

Then Sunday when we picked Griff up we got to visit with GG some and that is always nice!  She was in town to see some ladies that she graduated nursing school with.  They get together and as she said, "talk, laugh, relax, and laugh some more!"

Here are some pictures from today's walk.  Granna put together his new wagon that Granny gave him for his birthday.  The side rails are perfect and he stayed sitting the whole time!  He just smiled and laughed and laughed!

Just starting off and not too sure.

Busy Griffin

The best way to describe Griffin is busy!  He is always moving, squirming, or climbing.

He loves to climb in his play wagon and sit and talk to his toys.
He loves to play "kaboom" with his daddy.
And then he sleeps....so sweet when he is still!

Jordan is going to play Top Golf tonight with his bff's and Griff and I are going to go to Rosa's and then to the store to start making a new table.  Mine that I had made before got broken in the move! :(

Then tomorrow we are hitting up Ft Worth for the night!  We are all meeting JC and Dabney and then the 7 of us will have a fun patio night at Joe T's and then maybe (hopefully) hang out in downtown a bit!  I grew up meeting friends from camp in downtown FW and I LOVE it there!  These are our MOST favorite people to be with so we couldn't be more excited!!  YAY!

New Couch!

We finally did it!  After looking at what seems like thousands of couches we decided on one!  It can seat 6-7 people and is sooo comfy.  Everyone always said my purple couches were the most comfortable in the world so our new couch had big shoes to fill!

This is the couch...But not the color.
Jordan sitting on the floor model.  I can see him sitting there playing his games or watching Indy.

This is the actual color and pattern.  I chose it because the fabric is durable and will hide baby stains well!

We also bought an amazing dark wood coffee/game table but there were no pictures on the Internet and I forgot my phone.  So you will just have to be surprised!  Jordan did a great job though and talked the guy down 10%!  Yay!!

Brush your hair!

Griffin LOVES the hairbrush.  Nothing makes him happier than to carry one or two of them around with him while he plays in the house.  And when you say "brush your hair" he puts the brush up to the side or back of his head and wiggles it around.  Too cute!

Freepeats

In honor of Earth Day freepeats is giving away free life time memberships!  If you have a baby or are having a baby you should sign up here!  I used this site a lot to score free formula checks when Griff was a baby! :)

Jordan and I looked at about a million of these and finally decided on this type.  Then I went to overstock.com and got it at half the price with $1 shipping!  SCORE!  Happy Monday!  I am off to find a dry cleaners in our new neck of the woods!

Home Decor

So remember my friend Dabney?  The one that takes AMAZING pictures?  She is also a fabulous interior decorator!  When they had us over a few weeks ago we were blown away at how put together and homey their house looked.  So of course, I asked her if she would help me out.  My only prerequisite is that I didn't want purple.  If you know me this is probably shocking.  But I have had a purple living room since I was 19 and just want something different.  The purple furniture is still going to be in the house though.  Just in the formal living room!
So for our family room we picked out a chocolate brown sectional.  It seats 7 and has a huge ottoman that goes with it.  We might add a chair sometime in the future but for now this is plenty!  So Dabney went to work and she came up with a "Tuscan" theme.  We are going to use yellows, greens, burnt orange, and reds.  I could not be more excited!!!  Here are some of the ideas she had and some of the pieces I have "aquired."

A reminder of the space.  That fireplace screen will be oil rubbed bronze.  Jordan's 55" tv will be in that top right corner maybe at an angle.
Console Table to go against the right wall.

Fun lemon tree...I already have the big clock and a yellow pitcher that looks just like that from Granny.

Potential Curtains for the window behind the tv.
This my sweet mom bought for me at an auction.  It's a chandelier that is gorgeous and bronzy.
This antique candelabra mom finally said I could have!!  I adore it!!!
So what do you think?  I am trying to be very "un-girly" and keep it neutral to go with the brown couch.  Any other suggestions?  My Granny will of course be helping out to...because everyone knows she's the next best thing to Martha Stewart!! :)

Mr. Personality

Griffin is really starting to come into his own personality these days.  He loves to "walk izzie."  This is shown below.  He is really just holding her leash and walking around.  He also loves to "share."  Right after this picture he handed me his ball.

And then wanted it back!!  As you can see he has started pointing like crazy.  He also says, "here you go" when he hands you things.  It's a little hard to understand but we can def. make it out most of the time.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.  We are furniture and refrigerator shopping.

Ps.  Shout out to David and Hilary!  :)  Thanks for keeping me on my blogging toes!  I shouldn't be such a slacker!

We've Been Busy!

Well, we have officially moved!!  We are living with momma for 3 weeks until our closing date!  It has been wonderful so far with my favorite part being mom and I taking turns cooking dinners.  Last night she made us her famous fried chicken and corn on the cob with sweet tea.  Oh my was that amazing!!Our move was CRAZY!  It took Jordan and several friends all day long.  From 9 am until 10:30 at night!  It took two truck trips in a 26 foot uhaul and three storage units to hold all of our stuff!  We knew we were renting two but the thi
rd was a surprise.  I think it wasn't exactly arranged in the most efficient manner but whatever...It works and we are still saving a ton of money.  Which I am then spending on new furniture!  After moving all day our feet, arms, and backs were really aching!  All of this led Jordan to finally give in to me and we will be hiring REAL movers in May when we move into the house.  Besides, there is new paint and I really don't want stuff being banged against my walls.  So there you go...enough of that!

On good Friday we attended my cousin Justin's wedding.  It was at a really beautiful inn in Denton and was a very personalized and unusual ceremony!  I just can't believe he's old enough to be married!  It seems like he should still be 11 or 12! Granny babysit Griffin during the ceremony and they had a great time playing with his ball in her beautiful backyard.  He still doesn't like to touch the grass, but he doesn't mind running in it!

Griffin is just loving being here!  He follows his Granna everywhere yelling "na-na" or "Gee!"  He still loves to read and grabs a book and talks to it or brings it to us to read it.  His favorite is one mom bought him called Gallop.  It is SO COOL!  He loves how it moves.
On Monday Jordan and I went to the Mavs game.  It was an awesome game that went down to the buzzer.  We had really good seats and saw several other ACU people there.  That seems to always happen when we go to sporting events.

Please excuse my blurry pictures.  My camera is packed so I only have my phone to take them with until May!

My name is Griffin...I like to dance.

He is finally starting to move the bottom part of his body...For a long time he would only wave his arms around in circles.  I love his dancing and wish he would do it all the time instead of just in short spurts.  Please don't mind the boxes.  They have taken over every square inch!

One Year Stats

We took big one year old Griffin to the doctor on Tuesday.  I LOVE his peditrician.  Sadly, this was probably our last visit to her.  She recommended some great peds in Flower Mound/Grapevine so I will be interviewing them soon.  Griffin jumped up in percentiles this visit!  Our sweet boy had been hanging out around the 7-10% of weight his whole life and now at 22 lbs is in the 20th!!!  YAY!  I attribute this to the gallons of whole milk and a lot of "human food."  And given the fact he runs everywhere and never sits still this is a great weight gain!  He is still long and in the 97th percentile of height.  Head is where it always is at 25th!  So Griffin is doing fab!  She said he is displaying wonderful tone with his walking and running and she was impressed he could say 6-7 different words. He got a toe stick to check his iron (good!) and a chicken pox shot.  I of course am holding out on the MMR.  I am at least waiting until 18 months and maybe even 24.  We will see how everything is going and then evaluate! Our favorite thing he is doing this week is holding a hair brush and when we say "Griffin, brush your hair."  He brings the brush up to his head in a brushing motion.  SO CUTE!

We had dinner last night with Clark and Linds.  We are going
to miss just being 10 minutes from them!  But we agreed las
t night to still meet up all the time for our dinner dates and outings!  Things with the house are going great!  This next week it is being appraised and having the pool re-tiled.  Everything is perfectly on track and we are still set to have a May 8 closing.  We only have 8 days left in this house.  We are a little sad, but we simply outgrew this space about 6 months ago!  I couldn't have brought in one single more thing!!  I am so blessed to be gaining 1000+ square feet!  So next Saturday is the big move to mom's!
Griffin in the fireplace.  His favorite trick.  My least favorite.  Notice
the soot on his cheek.  Gross!
Daddy reading a book from JC and Dabs.  So sweet in their pj's!
