First Foods!

Today marked the start of "growing up"! At Griffin's checkup today she said she wanted him to start eating real food! This was super exciting to me as it is a nice change from just feeding bottles all the time. So Griffin and I dashed off to the store to buy our supplies. We started with rice cereal and also bought several of the "orange" veggies. The doctor suggested we try those first. So last night we had our first try at feeding. We wanted dad to be a part of it so we waited until he got home from work. Well it didn't take long to figure out that Griffin had no idea what to do with his tounge so I think he MAYBE swallowed two bites of the cereal. But no worries...We will keep trying. The only downside to starting the new feeding is that now I have to make and get used to a whole new schedule! The doctor also upped his formula intake to six ounces at a time. I was sure this would make him spit up tons and tons but I was pleasently surprised that it didn't. I will post a video soon of Griffin once he has gotten the eating thing down a little better!
