Yay!!!

We had our Dr. appointment on Monday and it was so fun! My mom got to come in and go with me since Jordan couldn't be there. First we listened to the baby's heartbeat. It was loud and strong and was beating around 160 beats per minute. Then we went upstairs to have the big AFP/Quad Screen blood work. The nurse warned me that it would take 4-5 days and not to be alarmed if I needed further testing. So we have been waiting patiently....Well...the doctor just called and everything is NORMAL and PERFECT!! We have a one in over a million chance of the baby having any of the disorders or defects. (Down Syndrome, Trisomy 18, spina bifida, or anencephaly) Yay!! Our prayers were answered! This is still not a definite that everything is ok but I really like our odds! Our next appointment is right before Thanksgiving and at that time we will get a level 2 ultrasound that will tell us if it's a boy or a girl! Jordan and I are pretty sure we "know" so it will be interesting to see if we are right! This more detailed ultrasound will also give us an updated due date and a better picture of the little one! So please continue praying!

We are off to Abilene for Homecoming this weekend and could not be more excited to see all of our friends and family! Jordan is really looking forward to Galaxy breakfast and the COBA reunion. I am really looking forward to LOS ARCOS! Anyone that knows me knows how happy that place makes me and I am betting the baby will like it too! Have a great weekend!
