Baby Photographer--CHECK!!

Hi everyone!! We finally found a photographer to take Griffin's newborn pics! Here is her website: www.emilythurmondphotography.com I am so excited! For one - her pictures look amazing! For two - I totally know her!! We went to high school and worked together a LONG time ago and then I saw her pictures on someone else's blog and immediately wanted her! And after visiting her page I realized I knew her! It's such a small world. But needless to say I am very very very excited. She is also going to take some "waiting" pictures of Jordan and I right around Sing Song time. So hopefully my belly will be a little bigger and you can actually tell I am pregnant! ha ha.

This weekend is jam packed for Jordan and I. We are going out Friday night with two of our most favorite couples; JC and Dabney and Clark and Lindsay!! We are seeing the Harlem Globetrotters. And then Saturday and Sunday Jo and I are doing a prepared childbirth class. I sure hope it prepares me because I have been having daily "worry" sessions about everything I don't know how to do.

I hope to post some pictures tonight of my growing tummy and all the clothes I just washed that are now waiting for Griffin!! Have a great day! Stay warm!

What's up with Baby G...

Just an update on what's going on with our sweet boy in there:

Your baby's lungs and digestive tract are almost fully developed. While your baby may soon slow up growing in length, (he measures about 15.7 inches/ 40 centimetres from crown to toe by now), he will continue to gain weight until he's born. This week your baby continues to open and shut his eyes. He can probably see what's going on in utero, distinguish light from dark and even track a light source. If you shine a light on your stomach, your baby may move his head to follow the light or even reach out to touch the moving glow. Some researchers think baring your stomach to light stimulates visual development. But don't expect 20/20 vision when your baby is born -- newborns can see a distance of only about 8 to 12 inches/ 20 to 30 centimetres. (Children with normal vision don't reach 20/20 vision until about age 7 to 9.) To complete the picture, your baby now has eyebrows and eyelashes.

Also, he still moves ALL the time. But he especially likes singing as I have noticed him moving NONSTOP during church and while I drive in the car. Maybe he will be a rock star! :) Have a great weekend.

Only a short time left!!

Only a few more weeks! We could not be more excited! I went to the doctor last week for my glucose tolerance test. It was no where near as bad as I had heard. I actually thought the orange drink tasted good and had no trouble at all. Two days later the results were back and I passed!!! Yea! However I am anemic so I am now taking iron pills twice a day. No sweat though, as they are small and easy to handle. I have to date gained 9 pounds...Which I know makes me a small pregnant lady. According to the books I should have gained about 12-15 pounds by the 7th month. Oh well. Other than perfect strangers telling me I don't look pregnant I am enjoying being on the small side. My doctor isn't worried though, she tells me Griffin is still big and healthy and seemingly happy. And that is all that really matters to me! I now am going to the doctor every two weeks so I will have more to report soon!

This week...

This next week is a busy one for us! We will start it tomorrow by going to lots of baby stores around Dallas to narrow our decision on room decor for Griffin. Then on Tuesday I have my glucose tolerance test. I have heard a lot of unpleasant things about this so we will see how it goes. I don't have any symptoms of gestational diabetes but just in case prayers are appreciated! Hope you have a great weekend! I will update later in the week about what the dr. says!
